Gene,

Its been a while since I spoke w/ you so I'm just dropping you a line after my first season w/ Rigby. I can't say enough about this dog. He is with me everyday at work, home, and traveling and he's a great pet. Every couple of days I hear "that's the most beautiful dog I've ever seen" when we're running around town. If they think he's pretty sitting in the truck; they ought to see him on point! Not only is he my best friend, he's my favorite hunting partner. Rigby had about 200 quail shot over him this year and almost as many pheasant. He heals on the first command and retrieves to hand about every time. He is taking to the water very easily and we're working on his water retrieves now. I hope to be hunting ducks w/ him come November.

I researched dogs for a year before I met you; I don't think I could have gotten a better dog for any amount of money. Thank you.

Best Regards,

Gene,

Here is the latest pictures taken of Dee today. She is now off of the check cord and holding on birds like a rock. Once she locks on a bird even if the bird moves or fly she stays solid. I am really happy and impressed with her, so is the trainer that is working with me to train her. Again cant wait till October to get her in Iowa on a big cock bird.

Thanks Again,
John Coers

North Lake Kennels has a wonderful product in their top quality German Shorthair Pointers. Whether you are looking for a hunting dog, field trial dog or a loyal family pet -- North Lake Kennels has it.

We bought our puppy in early 2006 and what a joy he has turned out to be! He is a wonderful addition to our family and truly remarkable as a breed standard, plus a born-pointer in perfect form. We get remarks constantly about how beautiful he is, definitely 'show-dog' material ! Thanks for such a wonderful, loving addition to our family.

Gene,

Just thought I would update you on how Dee is doing. She will be seven month old at the end of this month, and as of today she is heeling, whoeing on command, pointing like crazy and today she whoed and was study to multiple flushes away from the bird that she had on point.

The trainer that I have helping me train her said today that she is far past where she should be in her training. He said that by Oct when she goes with me to Iowa for upland she will be looking really good. I will send you some pictures here soon of her when she gets in the field and starts working the birds. I'm real happy with her and thanks for a good dog and blood line. She just about does everything automaticly.

Thanks Again
John Coers

Captain Gene,

I want to update you on the pup we got from you back in March of 2005 from Sassy and Buck. Her name is Cricket. What a great dog; we have been training her ourselves and she has responded great even from an amateur trainer. In January 2006, we started Field Trials and Hunt Test, she has been in five stakes and has never finished out of the top two, her record is 2-wins and 3-seconds and has 4 points toward her field championship. My 13 year old daughter has handled her for the hunt test, and made 4 perfect runs to earn Cricket a Junior Hunter Title. We have even taken her on hunts and she holds point great and gun fire doesn’t even concern her. At the field events I get a lot of complements on her look, her hunting and her ability to run big even with other fast dogs. I always tell everyone to call Capt. Gene.

This summer I will be starting her formal breaking to hold to wing and shot, she has already shown signs of wanting to do this on her own with out much pushing, so keeping my fingers crossed it goes as easy as the first part of her training.

Thanks for the Great pup Capt. She makes me want a kennel full of these dogs.

Dear Captain Gene;

I just wanted to let you know that I still can’t believe what you have done to Gunner in just 2 months. I dropped off Gunner at 10 months old and got back a well-finished gun dog in just two months. He acts like a 5 year old. I don’t know how you did it but thanks for a job well done. Gunner has placed in the first three events that I entered him in. I also hunted him in Vermont on Grouse. I was more then pleased on how close he worked.

If you have more pups coming in the spring please let me know. I want to get a Female for my grandson.

Thank you so much for the time and effort that you have given Gunner.

Captain Zamba,

I wanted to update you on the pup, Beau, you sold me last February out of Sassy. I took her out to Kansas this past week to hunt pheasant and she is awesome. Folks could not believe she was just 10 months old. We hunted Ringneck Ranch at Tipton Ks. Beau did very well, she in fact was as good as any dog the guides had. I had worked with her all spring and summer and it really paid off. She pointed well, quartered the field, hunted well with dogs she did not know, retrieved and the biggest thing is she follows directions from her handler. She is great.

I wanted to let you know that if you plan to breed Sassy again I would like to have an additional pup out of her. I just can't tell you enough how great Beau did, but I put a lot of long hours and hard work into handling her.

Thanks again for a great pup,

Tom

Dear Capt Gene,

I just took Sally on her first hunt today after you finished her in your three-month training program. She preformed very very well and she went way passed my expectations. I hunted with two friends that have English Setters and they asked me to contact you and find out if they could drop their dogs off for the same program. Just send me back an email if that is OK with you.

Again, thank you so much for the work you did with Sally. She has turned out to be best bird dog I have ever had. It was worth every cent spent.

Sincerely,

Doug Haystings
